Position Details
Salary: £26,180 per annum
Work Schedule: 38 hours per week
Paid Holidays: 7 weeks of leave
Visa Sponsorship: Available for eligible candidates
Required Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
- CAP Petites Enfance
- Diplôme d’Etat d’Auxiliaire de Puériculture
- Diplôme d’Etat d’Educateur de Jeunes Enfant
- An Ofsted-recognized qualification at Level 3 or higher
- A Montessori qualification recognized by Ofsted
Additionally, applicants must have at least one year of experience working in a nursery setting. This ensures that candidates have foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in early childhood education.
Primary Responsibilities
As a member of our team, you will be expected to contribute actively to the daily operations of the nursery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with day-to-day routines, ensuring that the children receive a consistent and structured experience.
- Supervising children during activities, ensuring their safety and engagement in learning and play.
- Helping organize, set up, and prepare various learning materials and activities that align with our Montessori approach.
- Supporting new children as they transition into the nursery, adhering to our “Settling in Policy.”
- Providing assistance with personal care routines, ensuring the well-being and hygiene of the children.
- Working closely with Key Persons to fulfill daily duties that contribute to the smooth running of the nursery.
Job Locations
We are currently hiring for two locations:
- Tufnell Park – This role involves working with children across all age groups.
- Crouch Hill – This position also includes working across various age groups.
Applicants should be willing to work flexibly across these locations as required.

- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to communicate confidently and professionally with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English (and French for bilingual positions): A solid grasp of spoken and written English is required. French language skills are mandatory for candidates applying for a French-speaking role.
- IT Competency: Basic proficiency in IT-related tasks, including email communication and word processing.
- Confidence and Initiative: Ability to apply Montessori principles in practice, ensuring that learning experiences are meaningful and child-centered.
- Active Listening Skills: Capacity to listen attentively to children, parents, and team members to address concerns effectively.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to addressing challenges.
- Resilience and Empathy: A strong yet compassionate attitude towards working with young children.
- Openness to Constructive Feedback: Willingness to accept guidance and continuously improve through self-reflection.
Educational Requirements for Unqualified Candidates
For applicants who do not currently hold a recognized early years qualification, there is a requirement to pursue an accredited course in Early Years Education. The qualification must be recognized by Ofsted and align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. We are committed to supporting our team members in their professional development.
